Many of our guests prefer to come on their own rather than as part of a group or guided retreat. You will find an incredible diversity of experiences to explore whether you just want to be quiet or are looking to meet new people. We have tweny-six acres of property on the West Bank of the Hudson River with walking trails and an outdoor labryrinth. Pristine Hyde Park on the other side of the river is a picturesque backdrop for sunrise. Additionally, the monastery complex is full of nooks and cranies perfect for reading a book or studying the river's eb and flow. The daily cycle of prayer and meals will give you the opportunity to reconnect with your fellow seekers and the monks.
Reserving your Individual Retreat
Reservations may be made by e-mail, phone, or letter. Please note that deposits are required to secure your place. Deposits are nonrefundable and non-transferable.
Please keep in mind that reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis, so weekends in particular tend to fill up quickly. You may find that a mid-week retreat may suit your schedule and budget better. If you are interested in arranging spiritual direction during your time with us, please let the guest house staff know at the time you make your reservation. Spiritual Direction for Individual Retreats is subject to the availability of the brothers.
We suggest a donation of $70 per weeknight and $170 per weekend for guests on Individual Retreats.
